How We Will Handicap the Mid-Season Scramble

We’ll play the scramble in 3-person teams.  For each team, players will be ranked by league handicap from lowest to highest — the lowest handicap player will be called the A player, the highest handicapper on the team will be called the C player, and the other player is the B player.  For example, let's say that a team is made up of Arnie Jones who has a 6 handicap, Betty Jones who plays to a 16 handicap and Charlene Jones who has a 27 handicap.

    The team handicap will be calculated as follows:  A player handicap × 25%   +   B player handicap × 15% + C player handicap × 10%.

    For our example, the Jones team's handicap would be 6 × .25 + 16 × .15 + 27 × .10   =   1.50 + 2.40 + 2.70   =   6.6, which means that the team handicap will be rounded up to 7 strokes.
