The Season runs from November 11, 2025 to February 1, 2026

This page contains details about our leagues

If you have any questions, please e-mail the League Officer at GCpinseekersleague@gmail.com, message us on Facebook, or call the building: (724) 748-6201.

Step 1:  Registration

  • E-mail your and your partner's first and last name, cell phone number, e-mail address and home address to GCpinseekersleague@gmail.com or call (724) 748-6201 to provide the information over the phone.  Indicate if you are entering the 2-Person Scramble League, the Individual League, or both.
  • Registration closes Saturday, November 15, 2025.

      • Cost

      • $30.00 per person for the league (non-refundable) for each league.  To be in both leagues you must pay two league fees in full.
      • $20.00 plus sales tax per person each week for each league round.
      • The league fee must be paid in full at Pin Seekers by Saturday, November 15, 2025.  Sorry but this date is FIRM — if the league fee is not paid by this date you cannot be in the league.

Step 2:  Play two 9-hole simulator rounds to establish a league handicap

  • New league members must complete 2 rounds before November 15, 2025.
  • Returning league members will retain their handicap from the previous year to start if you don't play 2 practice rounds.
  • For both leagues, Twin Run Golf Course Blue tees will be the course played for the handicap-establishing rounds; front nine for the first round and back nine for the second round.
  • For the Scramble League, the team will play two nine-hole rounds in scramble format and the team scores will be used to establish the team handicap.
  • Before starting a handicap-establishing round, the player must inform the staff member working the simulator that the round is designated for establishing a handicap for one of the leagues.

Playing Time

  • League rounds are permitted to be played anytime Tuesday through Friday.  On rare occasions, tee times will be available for league play on Saturday and Sunday.  Pin Seekers hours are:

      • Tues. - Fri.   12:00 noon – 10:00 pm
              (last tee time 8:30 pm)
      • Sat.   10:00 am – 10:00 pm
              (last tee time 8:30 pm)
      • Sun.   1:00 pm – 6:00 pm
              (last tee time 4:30 pm)
  • Nine-hole rounds for SCRAMBLE league play must be completed in 75 minutes or less (1 hour and 15 minutes).  Nine-hole rounds for INDIVIDUAL league play must be completed in 40 minutes or less.  If your league round is not completed in that time, you have the option of paying the normal hourly-rate for more simulator time ($50 per hour) to finish the round, or taking a triple-bogey for each hole that wasn't completed in the allotted time.

Rounds Per Night

  • Each team should play only one round per week (per league).
  • However, if there is a circumstance where one or both players cannot play the following week, the team is permitted to play two rounds in the same week with advance permission from the League Officer.  The team must reserve simulator time for both league rounds in advance.  The team would play one round for the current week and one round for the following week.  The scores for each week must be communicated clearly so there are no mistakes.

Tee Times

  • Players are responsible for booking the tee time (call 724-748-6201) or book online using the link on Facebook.
  • Please indicate the specific league when calling for a tee time.
  • If you are in both leagues, you must make separate tee times for each of your league rounds.

League Format

  • We will have two different leagues for the Season:
      •
      • 2-Person Scramble League

        • Players will play a 2-person scramble format for 9 holes

      • Individual Play League

        • Players will play their own ball for 9 holes
        • Net score is total strokes for all 9 holes minus player's league handicap

Tees Used by Players

  • Scramble League teams will all play from the designated tees for the week.
  • Individual League players under the age of 65 will play from the designated tees for the week.
  • Senior members of the Individual League (age 65 or older on or before November 15, 2025) will play from one position forward from the designated tees for the week.
  • Tee color varies by course.

Flights

  • Depending on the number of players in each league, we may divide the league into flights of a roughly equal number of players.  The desired number of players in a flight will be between 6 and 10 players; the actual number will depend on league participation.
  • Standings and end-of-season prizes will be based on a flight-by-flight basis.
  • To determine the flights, all players/teams in the league will be ranked by start of season handicap, and placed in flights on that basis.  As an example, if there are 24 teams in the league, we would set up three flights of 8 teams each.  The 8 teams with the lowest handicaps at the start of the season will be placed in a flight, the next 8 teams will be the second flight, and the 8 teams with the highest handicaps will make up the third flight.

Scoring

  • Players will compete for points each week against players in their flight.
  • Scoring is net medal play (all strokes count, with handicap subtracted from the total score at the end of the round).
  • Each team/player is competing against ALL other teams/players in the flight each week.  One point is available per matchup.  So if there are 9 teams in a flight, each week a team will be playing 8 matchups against the other teams in their flight.
  • If a team's/player's net score is lower than the other team's/player's score in a matchup, the lower-scoring team receives a point for that matchup for that week.
  • If a team's/player's net score is the same as the other team's/player's score in a matchup, both of those teams/players will receive ½ of a point for that week.
  • Total points will be kept for the entire season; the winner of the flight will be the team/player with the most total points.

Handicap Calculation Rules

      •
      • For the Individual Play League

        • Start of season handicap (for Week 1 of league play) will be the average strokes over par of the two handicap-establishing rounds submitted by the player.
        • Each week after Week 1, the handicap will be calculated as follows:  the average strokes over par for the season will be added to the strokes over par for the most recent week's round, and that sum will be divided by 2.
        • Restriction:  no weekly handicap will be more than 2 stokes higher or lower than the player's season average strokes over par.
        • As an example, if Player A's average strokes over par for the season is 8, and the stokes over par for the most recent round is 14, the calculated value would be (8+14)/2 = 11.  But since that would be 3 strokes higher than the player's season average, the handicap will be adjusted to be 10 for the next week.
        • Calculated values with a decimal value below .5 will be rounded down, and values with a decimal value of .5 or higher will be rounded up.  9.45 = 9, while 9.5 = 10.
      • For the 2-Person Scramble League:

        • The team handicap will be computed using team scramble scores for all rounds.  Individual handicaps of team members will not be used.
        • Start of season handicap (for Week 1 of league play) will be the average strokes over par of the two handicap-establishing rounds submitted by the team.
        • Each week after Week 1, the handicap will be calculated as follows:  the average strokes over par for the season will be added to the strokes over par for the most recent week's round, and that sum will be divided by 2.
        • Restriction:  no weekly handicap will be more than 2 stokes higher or lower than the team's season average strokes over par.
        • Calculated values with a decimal value below .5 will be rounded down, and values with a decimal value of .5 or higher will be rounded up.  9.45 = 9, while 9.5 = 10.

Simulator Settings for League Play

Green Speed → 10 on the Stimp meter Putting Mode → standard
Pin Placement → normal Terrain Penalty → off
Stroke Limit → Double Par
Putting → 9 foot gimmies for the Individual League, and 6 foot gimmies for the Scramble League

Mulligans are not permitted

If there is a technical glitch during your round that causes a stroke to be applied when it shouldn't have been applied, call over a staff member and explain the situation.  If the staff member determines that the situation warrants a score adjustment, that can be made at the end of the round.

You CANNOT do this on your own — you MUST ask the staff member on duty for a ruling.  Breach of this rule will result in a two-stroke penalty per offense.
