Meet Fr. Mark Hoffman

Father Mark Hoffman is a native of Erie PA, the son of Edward and Rina Hoffman.  He is the eldest of three sons, and graduated from Our Lady of Peace School, Cathedral Preparatory School (1977) and Gannon University with a degree in business administration (1982).  Father Hoffman attended St. Mark Seminary in Erie for his pre-theology studies, followed by his graduate studies, earning a Masters of Divinity at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe PA. (1989).

Father Hoffman was ordained a priest at St Peter Cathedral in Erie on April 27, 1990.  He has served the diocese as a parochial vicar, Director of Vocations, teacher, and pastor.

At his request, on January 28, 2019 he was assigned as a parochial vicar pro-tempore, and now happily serves the Church of Notre Dame.  Father Hoffman is also assigned as the Chaplain at St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.

Father Hoffman deeply loves his priesthood, and finds his vocation enriching and joyful.
